Ma Voix Compte! initiative

Réseau des carrefours jeunesse-emploi du Québec

In October 2017, the Reseau des carrefours jeunesse-emploi du Quebec (RCJEQ) ran a province-wide youth consultation entitled "Ma Voix Compte!" !" (my voice counts) to find out what issues concern young people today. Townshippers' project coordinator Katie Bibbs organized several consultations with youth in Richmond, Lennoxville, and Stanstead to contribute a range of English-speaking perspectives from our region. The results were sent back along with the voices of 5,000 other people who participated across the province, and the RCJEQ has published the summary of their consultation. Take a look!

For any questions relating to this consultation process, contact Katie Bibbs (819-566-5717, ELiaison@townshippers.org), who is currently working with our eight local Carrefour jeunesse emplois (CJE) who provide services to people ages 16-35 relating to social integration, employment, and academic perseverance. By the end of 2018, the CJEs will each be better equipped to serve English-speaking clients.
