The Activity Assistant will work in collaboration with the Activity Department to improve residents' quality of life by orchestrating and assisting with activities like bingo and taking residents outside. The Activity Assistant will also be responsible for coordinating and carrying out video calls with residents and their family members.
This employment opportunity will be funded by Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ). The conditions established by CSJ state that the candidate must:
- Be between fifteen and thirty years of age at the start of the employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of the employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada
The candidate must also be able to communicate effectively in English and demonstrate compassion and respect for seniors.
