Research Support Officer

Townshippers’ Association is looking for a CEGEP or University-level student to work as a Research Support Officer for the summer of 2020. This is a full-time 11-week position, beginning on Monday, June 8th, or June 15th, 2020 (to be determined).

 

Tasks and responsibilities include:

The successful student will be responsible for helping to build our statistical knowledge and capacity. After attending a 1-week training program delivered by Statistics Canada, the student will begin their employment and work to create demographic profiles, infographics and analytical reports which will provide an evidence base for Townshippers’ to use in future endeavours. The student may also be asked to share and teach their knowledge with other project managers at the Association. Additionally, students will learn about the community sector serving the English-speaking population in the Eastern Townships as well as in Quebec and may be asked to help with knowledge-sharing activities over the summer.

Possession of a valid driver’s license and vehicle are considered an asset.
