Most children start kindergarten with the health, capacity and skills to fully benefit from the educational activities offered at school. However, some of them have more difficulty adapting to this environment. The 2017 Québec Survey of Child Development in Kindergarten (QSCDK) documents the developmental level of children at this stage of their lives, provincially, regionally and locally. The findings will be used by stakeholders and decision-makers to prepare programs and measures aimed at enhancing children’s development and well-being, as well as improving their ability to adapt socially and academically over the short and long term.
