Centre des arts de Stanstead is happy to announce that Repercussion Theatre’s production of Shakespeare in the park will be returning again this year on July 29th, 2023. 7 pm. This years production will be Cymbeline.   Cymbeline is an adventure story with multiple plot twists, all tangling together into a seemingly-impossible knot, making for a miraculous unravelling in the final act.   This play has it all: a troubled kingdom, a secret marriage, a wicked stepmother, a princess in disguise, long-lost children, betrayal, battles, poison, prophecies, outlaws, intrigue, revelations and reunion… It’s a satisfying emotional rollercoaster, with surprise after surprise, but at the heart of it all is the question of what we do in the name of love, and how much we must sometimes lose to find ourselves, and each other, again.   Cymbeline will include music, a dynamic design, and an ensemble of talented actors who take on multiple roles. The play also explores how deeply our humanity is rooted in the Earth, and this production takes that to heart – as we focus on making this year’s tour our most eco-conscious yet.
